Here at The Pitch, we are passionate about supporting startups to grow to the next level. This year we’re upping our game and are hoping to support a whopping 7,000 startups in securing the investments they need.
2022 will mark The Pitch’s 14th year since its launch in 2008, where it has since grown into one of the UK’s largest startup events.
As the competition opens, we thought we would share what we have planned for 2022…
What’s new for 2022?
In 2022 we’re continuing a hybrid programme, meaning entrepreneurs from anywhere in the UK can take part.
Broken down into four levels, this year’s programme includes online educational content, coaching and mentoring from leading entrepreneurs, live in-person pitching events, as well as the chance to meet and support other founders.
- At level one, we invite 7,000 businesses to our online programme to gain free access to educational content and videos about growth and getting investment ready
- At level two, 400 founders get exclusive access to further webinars and coaching in key areas such as marketing, finance, legal, and pitching
- At level three, 60 founders take part in a mini-incubator to help get investment-ready, and get the opportunity to pitch to investors at six regional finals. These are based across the UK in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, and London (2)
- At the fourth and final level, the ten finalists pitch to industry-leading investors, followed by networking and a night of well-deserved celebrations in central London
How The Pitch can help you
If you’re an early-stage startup, and you are able to prove that you have great ideas and are brimming with potential, then The Pitch is a great way for you to scale up your business. Our prior cohorts prove it works – previous winners (such as Charco, Oddbox, and Goodloans) have gone on to raise millions since taking part in The Pitch.
Not only is The Pitch great for growth, but also great for working on your communication to all-important investors, as well as continuing to bring value to your company beyond the end of the competition.
“The Pitch was a great opportunity. The team does an incredible job of tying in the right partners to ultimately drive value beyond the pitching element of the competition.” Said Joseph Black, co-founder of UniTaskr.
The Pitch has also been highly praised and supported by many incredible investors, entrepreneurs and businesses dedicated to helping startups succeed. These partners play a central role in the competition, from judging startups and running events to sharing their expertise in webinars and content.
