We’re helping 3,000 startups get investment-ready in 2021

The Pitch is on a mission to give 3,000 startups the support they need to secure investment this year.

We’re launching a hybrid programme of online learning and live semi-final events to give founders the network and support they need to raise funding.

We wanted to share what we have planned for 2021 and how the programme has evolved.

How will the 2021 programme work?

We’re leveraging what we learnt from running events around the country and taking everything online last year to create a hybrid of online and offline events.

The 2021 programme includes online educational resources, invite-only online workshops and live in-person pitching events.

In level one, businesses get access to educational content and videos to support their growth and improve their investment readiness (produced by our team in partnership with organisations like Crowdcube and Mission Ventures).

Our programme of invite-only, targeted webinars in level two ensures founders get the advice they need and delivers more value for our partners.

Investment-ready businesses will pitch to investors and sponsors at our semi-finals, with regional winners announced at each stage.

The top 10 founders pitch to a room of industry-leading investors at our London finale, followed by networking and a night of celebration.

How does The Pitch support founders?

The Pitch helps startups create a kick-ass pitch and gives them the platform to use it.

Over 1,000 people watched the semi-finals last year, which were judged by investors from companies like Deloitte Ventures, ClearlySo and Deepridge Capital.

Industry-leading experts like Starling Bank founder Anne Boden, Moneypenny founder Ed Reeves and Crowdcube founder Darren Westlake judge the final.

Those connections pay dividends for the entrepreneurs that take part. The Pitch 2019 finalists have raised more than £8.3m in the last 12 months (check out The Pitch 2020 finalists and watch their pitch videos on The Pitch website).

The Pitch 2021 will work with startups who’ve launched, proven their idea works and are seeking funding to take their business to the next stage.

Our programme will give them the tools and support they need to secure investment, from interactive webinars to exclusive in-person networking events with investors.
