About
Who we are
We’re The Pitch, the UK’s biggest pitching competition on a mission to make investment accessible to all.
Through our free flagship programme, we connect early-stage entrepreneurs with active investors, helping the next generation of founders go from stage to seed round.
What we do
Since 2008, The Pitch has connected ambitious entrepreneurs with active investors through a flagship programme designed to help founders form, hone and present their pitch.
From humble beginnings in Bristol, we’ve grown into a UK-wide initiative, hosting events across the country and building a thriving network of entrepreneurs and backers.
Now powered by SeedLegals – the UK’s #1 closer of funding rounds – we’re set to get even more startups in front of investors looking for their next success story.

Our values
Innovation
Innovation is at the heart of The Pitch. We’ve created a space where bold ideas feel possible, and where ambitious founders can bring them to life.
Inclusion
The Pitch is accessible to all, irrespective of identity, background or beliefs – we want you to bring your whole self to the stage.
Community
Success is never a solo feat – rather, it takes a band of brilliant people to make things happen. That’s why we’ve built a community where entrepreneurs, mentors and investors can connect, collaborate and grow together.
Purpose
We believe brilliant ideas can change the world, and want to give those who can the platform to do so. That’s why The Pitch is free – founders shouldn’t be set back by fees.
Growth mindset
We’re agile self-starters, always looking for new ways to learn, improve and grow with our community.
Transparency
Honesty isn’t just the best policy: it’s the foundation of a strong community. That’s why we lead with integrity and work hard to earn the trust of our partners, sponsors and participants.
Meet the team
Anthony Rose
CEO, The Pitch and SeedLegals
SeedLegals co-founder, the man behind the iPlayer and now CEO of The Pitch, Anthony Rose is no stranger to building a business. Behind his impressive portfolio is a bubbling enthusiasm to change things for the better, refining typically challenging tasks and making them accessible to all.
A natural leader and mentor, Anthony gets a kick out of helping founders navigate the world of investment. That’s why you’ll find him taking part in webinars, writing for national and specialist media, or sharing bite-sized insights on his LinkedIn profile.
When Anthony isn’t running SeedLegals, he’s quite literally running – for fitness, to meetings, delivering kit to his team, or just getting from A to B. Don’t bother suggesting he gets a bike. And if you need to bribe him, try green jasmine tea.

Holly Sawyer
Project Lead
From local pop-ups to international launches, Holly knows how to put on a good show. Since picking up her Events and Business Management degree, she’s worked her magic across a string of events before settling at The Pitch in 2024, where she plans, organises and executes events across the country.
Behind her drive is a genuine compassion for fledgling founders putting themselves out there. Having cut her teeth in the startup scene, Holly knows how isolating it can be for new business owners – and how game-changing these events can be for bringing brilliant minds together, long after the lights go down.
When not working on logistics, Holly can be found tending to her plants, shuffling a tarot deck or having a quiet pint down the pub.
Kerstin Reichert
Strategy Support
Head of Marketing, author, speaker and awards judge, Kerstin now adds Strategy Support at The Pitch to an already impressive list of accolades.
With a decade of experience in digital marketing both in-house and agency side, Kerstin found her sweet spot in fast-paced startups that help founders thrive. Now, she’s gearing up to bring The Pitch to more UK-based founders, guiding them from stage to seed round through a supportive, practical programme.
When she’s not mapping out the team’s next moves, Kerstin can be found reading, travelling, or trying something new. Next up: windsurfing.

Cushla Smith
Visual Designer
Hailing all the way from New Zealand, Cushla is a Visual Communication Designer with over six years of experience turning complex ideas into unforgettable visual stories.
To Cushla, good design does more than just look nice – it clarifies, simplifies and sticks. She’s all about creating visuals that are not only easy to use and understand, but also leave a lasting impression.
When she’s not designing, you’ll likely find her with a paintbrush in hand, hiking a scenic trail, planning her next travel adventure, or lost in the twists and turns of a gripping crime thriller.
Rachel Cameron-Potter
Copywriter
Rachel is a seasoned copywriter on a mission to make life easier for budding business owners.
Having spent most of her marketing career working in startups at different stages, Rachel came to know the highs and lows of starting and scaling a business. She saw firsthand how exhilarating it was for founders to secure funding rounds, but recognised the process of doing so was typically long, gruelling and needlessly expensive.
Now, as a copywriter at The Pitch, she’s determined to demystify the world of founding and funding, creating resources designed to educate and inform the next generation of UK entrepreneurs.
When not typing away at her desk, you can find Rachel out for a run, reading a book or noodling on her old acoustic guitar.
